The Two Tynes League
Rules and Format
- Rules for, and the etiquette of golf, as adopted by the R&A (St. Andrews), shall be obligatory.
- The League will take the form of a home and away fixture between each of the clubs in the league.
- The committee to draw up a fixture list with dates by which each match must be played.
- Teams of Six play match play off the medal tees.
- Players must have a current handicap index between 4.0 & 12.0
- The home club Captain to contact the visiting Captain to agree a time and date of each match.
- There will be no set day for matches so as to allow for both weekday and weekend play.
- Both Captains to work together to ensure, as far as possible, that players of a similar handicap will be playing against each other. If there is a difference in handicaps, an allowance of 75% of the difference in the course handicap to be applied.
- To be able to represent any Club in a league match, or other competition organised by the League, a player must hold a valid individual membership of the Club they intend to represent and also in a category of membership which entitles them to play in qualifying competitions organised by that Club in accordance with CONGU regulations.
- A player can only represent one Club in league matches and other competitions organised by the League during any playing season and may only play for their home club.
