Captains' Charity Golf Day 2026

Join us for an unforgettable day of golf, great company, and fundraising in support of Tyndale Hospice and Teenage Cancer Trust.
A letter from our Captain
For as long as I’ve been a member of Slaley Hall, I’ve always been impressed—and genuinely touched—by the generosity and humbleness shown during the Annual Captains' Charity Day. As we look ahead to 2026, I’m hopeful that we can once again come together in the spirit of golf to support two exceptional local charities: Teenage Cancer Trust and Tynedale Hospice.
The day will begin with registration and brunch at 10:30 am. A pitching competition from 12:00 on The Terrace, whereby the players will then make their way to their allocated tees ahead of a 1:00 pm shotgun start on the Hunting Course. Throughout the round, there will be a range of fun and competitive challenges, including Beat the Pro, Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin, Nearest the Pin in Two, Predict the Total Water Shots and Guess the Balls in the Jar.
From 6:30pm, we will come together in the Kielder Suite for the evening’s entertainment, where additional guests are very welcome. The evening will include drinks, dinner, the prize-giving ceremony, an auction and raffle.

Teenage Cancer Trust
Teenage Cancer doesn’t just affect adults. Every day in the UK, seven young people aged 13–24 hear the words: “You have cancer.” Teenage Cancer Trust is the ONLY charity dedicated to giving them the care, support and specialist treatment they need. From dedicated hospital units and specialist nurses to emotional support, youth workers and peer-community programmes — your donation helps young people fight cancer without losing their childhood or future.
