Staff Protection Statement - Slaley Hall
At Slaley Hall, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for both our members and staff. Our team works hard to deliver exceptional service, and they deserve to do so free from abuse, intimidation or harassment.
We kindly remind all guests and members that abusive behaviour towards staff – whether verbal, physical or written – will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Any such conduct may result in removal from the premises and further action as deemed appropriate.

Reminder for 5 day members playing in weekend events.
Any members with 5 day memberships are reminded that if they wish to play in any events at the weekend, they need to pay the appropriate green fee or use an appropriate voucher in advance of their round.
Ron Trotter Trophy
The main seniors competition of the year takes place this Wednesday (3rd September) for the Ron Trotter Trophy. Please book your tee time with the shop. It is a stableford competition played on the Hunting course.
Men's Club Championship
The men's club championship is played as a 36 hole stroke play competition over one weekend. The Hall Hannam Trophy is for the best gross score. The Arthur Turnbull Trophy is for the best nett score.
- Round 1 - Hunting, Saturday 6th September 7:30 - 10:00
- Round 2 - Priestman, Sunday 7th September 7:32 - 9:32
- Both rounds are include in one entry free.
- Playing from the green tees and 95% handicap allowance for the nett competition.
- Round 2 will be played in reverse order, tee times will be reserved by SHGC on the Sunday morning.
- To be eligible, members must have played at least 3 qualifying competitions at Slaley Hall or represented Slaley Hall in the Hadrian League in the current year.
End of Season Club Night
The final club night of the season is on Friday 19th September.
- 5pm Shotgun start on the Hunting
- Followed by a 2 course supper at a subsidised cost of £10

JT Duffy Bowl, Saturday 27th September
This competition is open to members who have finished in the top 3 in Club competitions and have a 7 day or points membership.
- Hunting course, 7:30 to 10:00 tee times.
Member's Cup
The member's cup (the gross only competition) has been rearranged for Saturday 4th October, to be played from the green tees on the Hunting course. It is a gross medal competition. A top 3 placing in this competition will qualify for next year's JT Duffy Bowl.

- Friday 10th October - Hadrian League Dinner and Presentation at St James Park. Please let Kevin know if you would like to attend.
- Saturday 11th October - 2 Ball Scramble Stableford - Hunting
- Sunday 12th October - Open Texas Scramble on the Hunting. Tee times 7:30 to 13:0. Please email events@slaleyhallgolfclub.uk if you would like to enter a team.
This is one of the main fund raising events for our Club so please spread the word.
Friday 7th November - Presentation Evening. Please do your best to attend.
Saturday 6th December - Christmas White Elephant Texas Scramble - 10:30 Shotgun start on the Hunting followed by a Christmas dinner.
